Note from Rob Wittman:
Dear Friends and Neighbors,
I have spent the first half of 2026 working tirelessly on your behalf in Washington and at home in the First District, and I wanted to share how my office has been helping inform and serve the First District this year.
Through assistance with the IRS, Social Security Administration, Department of Veterans Affairs, and other federal agencies, my office has returned over $1.3 million to the residents of Virginia’s First District.
To keep you informed about district events, legislation, and current events, my team has sent out over 250 informational updates. These updates cover everything from Chesapeake Bay priorities to public safety legislation. To subscribe to my newsletter and stay up to date with what’s happening in Washington, click here.
So far in 2026, my office has closed 646 constituent cases. Casework includes helping constituents navigate issues with federal agencies, such as resolving problems with Social Security and Medicare benefits, assisting veterans with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), expediting passport requests, helping taxpayers with the IRS, and addressing immigration, military, and other federal matters. My team and I are committed to providing responsive, effective constituent services and ensuring that you receive the top-notch assistance when working with the federal government.
If you need help checking on Social Security benefits, renewing a passport, or processing a VA claim, please don’t hesitate to reach out to one of my district offices below.
