Message from Rob:
Dear Friends and Neighbors,
One of the most important responsibilities of government is protecting the people it serves.
Everywhere I travel across Virginia’s First District, I hear from parents, small business owners, teachers, and seniors who want the same thing: safe neighborhoods where families can live, work, and raise their children without fear of violent crime.
I share those concerns.
Public safety begins by supporting the men and women who put on the badge every day to protect our communities. Our law enforcement officers answer the call in moments of crisis, often putting themselves in harm’s way so the rest of us can be safe.
They deserve more than our gratitude. They deserve our support.
That’s why I’ve consistently supported legislation that provides officers with the training, equipment, and resources they need while also strengthening transparency and accountability. Good policing and public trust go hand in hand.
I have also supported legislation to strengthen protections for law enforcement officers, improve DNA testing to help solve violent crimes, stabilize funding for crime victims, and ensure victims receive the services they deserve.
Keeping our communities safe should never be a partisan issue. It requires supporting law enforcement, holding violent offenders accountable, and ensuring our justice system protects innocent families first.
As always, it is an honor to serve Virginia’s First District.
