The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is the pacing threat to the United States. Yet, we continue to have agreements, such as the Agreement Between the United States and the People’s Republic of China (PRC) on Cooperation in Science and Technology (STA), with our greatest adversary.
To protect our national security, I joined my colleagues on the Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party in sending a letter to Secretary of State Antony Blinken calling on the Biden administration to not renew the STA, which is set to expire on August 27, 2023.
The CCP only has malicious intentions toward the United States, and allowing its expiration is a smart step to countering China and protecting American security. I look forward to Secretary Blinken’s response on this important matter.
