Wittman, House Members Call on Biden Administration to End CCP Science and Technology Agreement

On June 27th, Congressman Rob Wittman (VA-01) joined fellow members of the Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), in calling on the Biden administration not to renew the Agreement Between the United States and the People’s Republic of China (PRC) on Cooperation in Science and Technology (STA), which is set to expire on Aug. 27, 2023.

“In this era of great power competition, our greatest competitor remains the Chinese Communist Party,” Rep. Wittman said. “The Biden administration has continuously failed to hold China accountable. If we do not end this agreement, we will enable the PRC to leverage it to advance their military objectives. I am proud to join my colleagues in calling on Secretary Blinken to end this national security threat and to take actionable measures to counter Beijing’s malicious agenda.”
