Below is a message from Rob Wittman on investing in Virginia’s workforce and manufacturing future:
Dear Friends and Neighbors,
I was thrilled to see Anheuser-Busch announce a new $5.8 million investment in its Williamsburg brewery, including the creation of a new technical skills training center that will help prepare the next generation of manufacturing professionals right here in Virginia.
This investment is part of Anheuser-Busch’s broader Brewing Futures initiative, through which the company is investing more than $600 million in its American operations over 2025 and 2026 to strengthen manufacturing, expand workforce training, and create new opportunities for workers.
For years, I have worked to expand access to workforce education and career training because I believe every Virginian should have the opportunity to develop the skills needed to succeed in today’s economy. That’s why I was proud to lead the Freedom to Invest in Tomorrow’s Workforce Act, which was signed into law and expanded the use of 529 education savings accounts to cover workforce training, credentialing programs, licenses, and certifications.
Not every successful career path requires a traditional four-year degree. Many of the fastest-growing and highest-demand careers in manufacturing, skilled trades, technology, and technical fields require specialized training and industry-recognized credentials. By making it easier for families to invest in these opportunities, we are helping more Americans build rewarding careers while strengthening our workforce.
The new training center in Williamsburg represents exactly the kind of investment our communities need. It will help develop the skilled workforce that manufacturers depend on while creating opportunities for Virginians to pursue good-paying careers close to home.
I applaud Anheuser-Busch for its continued commitment to Virginia and look forward to seeing the positive impact this investment will have on our region.
As always, it is an honor to serve Virginia’s First District.
Sincerely,

Rob Wittman
